YOU MUST INCLUDE EVERYTHING BELOW!!
1) In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?
Explain when you used the following conventions and why:
Shot-reverse shot
180-degree rule
Match on action
Correct framing
Camera angles
Camera shots
You need to really think about your choices and reasons for using certain conventions and what effects you were trying to achieve.
Detailed self-reflection and analysis is essential!
2) How does your media product represent particular social groups?
Gender
Age
Ethnicity
Sexuality
Class and status
Physical ability/disability
Regional identity
The social groups represented in your films would be 6th formers, lower school students, teachers etc.
How have you chosen to portray them?
(Positively, negatively, cheeky, fun, studious etc.)
How did you try to achieve this?
(Dialogue, camera angles, sound, action, mis-en-scene [props] etc.)
3) What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
What genre is your film? Who might distribute and why? Would there be a charge? How much? How would you justify it? If not how would it be financed?
4) Who would be the audience for your media product?
Gender, age range, interests, character/spirit etc
BE SPECIFIC AND GIVE APPROPRIATE REASONS!!
5) How did you attract/address your audience?
Consider all the creative choices you have made: Music, titles, shots, casting, editing, etc.
How does your film appeal to your specific target audience?
What did you do to attract your viewer?
Use PEA format!!
6) What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
Reflect on what you have learnt to do with cameras and iMovie.
